ARE YOUR SINS FORGIVEN 2?
Previously on Are your sins forgiven?
Psalm 32:1,2 (Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity and in whose spirit there is no guile.
This passage is talking about the benefits of forgiven sins and pardoned transgressions.
For our sin to be forgiven and not be remembered by God, we must also forgive others who offended us.
Suppose we knew what this means, we wouldn’t have kept talking about offences committed against us many years ago, as we claimed to have forgiven, so we shouldn’t remembered and repeat it times without number for anyone who cares to listen.
God will not remember our sin again if he has forgiven us, why should we also keep those who we claimed to have pardoned in our memory and allow it to torment us and become clog in the wheel of our progress?
God says, ” Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy” forgiveness need mercy on our side, if we can’t show mercy to others, how do we expect God to have compassion on us and remove us from the consequences of our sins?
Most Christians claimed to forgive offences, but truthfully speaking, they keep on speaking about it any time they remember, just like; ” I have forgiven her but it really pained that day, suppose she didn’t do it, I would have moved forward pass this stage in life”.
What we’re doing is still indicating that we are yet to forgive, had we forgiven there won’t be need of remembrance not to talk of repeating it to others whenever something like that is mentioned.
God is the only one that has the power to forgive if the sin is confess and the sinner repented, but man also need to forgive each other because we’re bound to err against others, which we must forgive if the offender ask for forgiveness.
Even though if the person refuses to ask for pardon, we must still forgive so it won’t hinder our prayers.
If we refuse to do it, how do we expect God to grant our request and expect the blessings of those who have received forgiveness, when we know that that offence is still living with us and preventing us from entering our rest.
I remember a story I heard about one minister of God, who they killed all his households including the wife and children.
When the community arrested the man that perpetrated this evil and was about to be hanged on the tree, someone went to the man where he was hidden and told him that your enemy has been arrested and they want to kill him.
But this man instead of happy about it said, don’t kill him bring the man to me, I will adopt him as my child.
We killed the only begotten Son of God, but instead of God to hold us responsible, He rather adopted us into His family, this is for as many who can go to that cross where His son was killed and look onto Him for forgiveness.
God also grant Christians power to forgive sin and also retain it because we have been transformed into God’s image, and the power is delegated to us to hold men responsible for their sin against humanity if they failed to repent, John 20:23 (whosoever sin ye remit, they are remitted unto them, whose soever sin ye retain, they are retained)
Those who God blessed are the ones that truly blessed, not until you have all things, including houses in every corner that you’re blessed, the blessing of God extend to the generation of those who fear Him and follow His ways.
The blessing of God shows that His face is shining on you and make you prosper in whatever you lay your hands to do.
Since you’re made perfect by God, everything about you will be perfected to His glory, even your children will enjoy His mercy and favour.
A life that is being favoured by God will become perfect with no sign of reproach that will lead to the mockery of God’s name, whatever you ask in his name shall be granted to you.
It’s unfortunate that many Christians are serving under the wrath of God, which make it seems as if God is no more answering prayers.
This is because there are some accounts they need to settle with God, the sin they covered is crying for vengeance, when the Bible says, “whoever cover his sin shall not prosper”.
God knows the area we are found wanting even if we don’t tell Him, He is expecting us to confess with our mouth and repent of it so that the doorway of accusations from satan be blocked and give Him enablement to grant us our request.
It’s heritage of the people of God to have all things as they prayed, the Bible states in the book of Matthew chapter 21 Vs 22 “that all things whatsoever ye shall asked in prayer, believing we shall receive”.
This is guaranty of answered prayers and have whatever we desire from Him according to His will.
It’s only in Christ we can be perfected not in the way of the world, the world believe that we can’t have everything, but that’s not what is written in the word of God; which gives every Christian access to the treasury of the Almighty, to have things according to their heart desires, it’s only sin that is covered that can block us from achieving this.
Those who go to church with different motives can’t expect to be forgiven by God, the motives that led you there is what you should be expecting, it’s either for His mercy or for His wrath.
Forgiveness can only be received in the church if you pass through the gate of Calvary, that is where man can obtain forgiveness not by church association.
The plan of God for His children is to give them all their heart desires according to their faith, only if they work by faith in believing what ever he says and act accordingly.
