Psalms 42:1 ( As the hart pants after the water brooks, so pants my soul after thee, O God.)
A child asked his father how much someone should seek after God.
The father took him to a place of water, then he told the boy to kneel beside the river, then dipped his head inside the water till he was struggling for air.
Then the man brought his head out and asked, What do you seek most at this moment, The boy answered, Air, The man said The way you seek air at this moment is the way you should seek after God as if your life depends on Him.
God find us and bring us out of the miry clay of life and transfer us into the kingdom of his dear son, We must also seek after him with all of our strength and all our minds. And souls.
The Lord God hid himself, it remains for us to seek him and find him when we seek diligently.
This is the moment some other gods shall be seeking your attention, but the sheep of the Lord Jesus Christ know his voice and won’t follow strangers.
This is the next step in our relationship with God, for us to seek him as the hart is panting after water.
As we seek him daily he removes the junk that won’t allow us to enjoy his presence, he removes what Satan planted to disrupt his plan and purpose for us.
Devouring the fire of his presence consumed the flesh and destroyed our carnal nature that prevents us from ascending to his presence.
As we move from the hall of congregation to the holy place, then after, the holiest of holies, which only belongs to the high priest.
Unfortunately many stayed in the hall of congregation that belongs to every dick and Harry, the unserious Christians, who only hide behind the name of Christ to perpetrate evil.
That is how many of us remain at this level, till death comes without bringing forth any fruit of repentance.
We failed to seek God himself, by attending to other things that won’t add anything to our lives.
We allowed worldly fashions and other things that don’t matter to influence us thereby blocking our face from seeing God the way he is.
God wants us to seek him and find him through his word, by study and meditation Those who are not satisfied with this kind of stage with God are the ones who press further to enter his presence.
The more we seek him the more he reveals himself and the more we grow to reach his stature and the more we lose interest in the things of the world and its entanglement.
God wants us to seek him, by abiding in his commandments, that is how the veil of the flesh is removed and the carnal nature is nailed to the Cross.
The seekers of God are the ones who move from the outer congregation to the holiest of holies, they are the priests of God burning incense of prayers in his temple daily in his presence.
They move from servant positions to the level of sonship whereby they call him Abba Father.
The servants don’t have access to any inheritance in the kingdom, for they are not different from slaves whose heritage is managed by governors and tutors.
It’s the only true seeker that finds God.
Instead of some people seeking after God, they seek pleasure, they seek vain things of the world, they seek lust over a godly relationship.
God wants us to seek him with all our heart with all our souls and with all our strength, It involves spiritual seeking, which involves soul and mind, and physical seeking that involves the strength.
You can’t say you’re seeking God and not involve your body which is his temple.
It’s difficult to seek him in your mind and soul when your thoughts are full of junk, and the devil is penetrating the mind to manipulate it to suit his purpose.
Seekers after God are seeking after His Will in his word and his purpose for their lives, they move from a mediocre level to completeness in him.
Most Christians pitch their tents between the Red Sea and the Promised Land, God is still seeking them to come out of the myrrh clay of life, but they are satisfied to remain halfway to the top and refuse to enjoy the full benefit of salvation.
Not all Christians are born again, that is why they remain with the curse of Adam, for it’s yet to be revoked by the atoning power of the blood.
They bear the name with Christ but refused to dine on the same table with him, most of them even ate with him but they chose their damnation by not committing to him.
Most preachers are yet to know the one they preached, they only know him by hearsay, but have not personal encounter with him, they rely on his judgment and acts of others’ encounters with God, but what is their own testimony of his presence?
That’s why they create other gods in their depraved minds that fit into their carnal demands.
Had they known that God is holy and won’t tolerate injustice, they wouldn’t have compromised their faith with the heathenism and borrowed the things of the world to worship him in his holy temple.
Jesus says, there will be many kings and princes that desire to see the day of the Son of man, but they’ don’t, Whoever God reveals himself is blessed, but to remain blessed is to seek and find Him.
Do you truly desire to go deeper in God or do you want to remain at the level of a common Christian, The decision remains yours, so also the results.
Prayer: My Father reveal yourself to me, that I may know you and the power of your resurrection, in Jesus’ name amen
