1 Cor12:4,5 ( Now therefore are diversities of gifts, but the same spirit, and there are differences of administrations but the same lord)
The gifts of the Spirit are nine in number, as are the fruits of the Spirit. All must work in unity to bring man and the church into perfection in Christ Jesus.
It’s love that binds all things together, which is one of the fruits of the spirit but the more excellent way.
If you exercise all the gifts without love you are running the race in vain and the journey will lead to nowhere in God.
Gifts may take you to the top but you’ll need the fruits of the spirit to keep you there, no wonder the lives of many leaders are full of scandals, most gospel singers are either divorcee with marriage to another man or they are single parents as well.
Adultery is their logo if they hadn’t repented, but keep on working for God with their gifts while they lack the fruits of the Spirit
God honour his word more than his name, how will you do his work while despising his word?
Satan too was gifted from the beginning, he was a leading chorister in heaven, and all the instruments of his music were created with him, he was able to distribute his gifts to his minions, singing for God without the fruits of the spirit making you a child of the devil.
Fruits of the Spirit combined with the gift make the ministry glorious and fulfil divine purpose.
The ministry built on gifts can’t change anyone’s nature from Adam to Christ. Any church established on gifts alone is a peudochristians organisation, we have them everywhere and in every corner, where men go and receive from God but are not ready to follow his commandments.
This is where sin abounds and the love of many waxes cold towards God and his word.
A damsel with gifts was following Paul to announce him to the world, won’t you say as long as she was proclaiming the gospel and introducing the servant of God, couldn’t he leave her alone?
That is not the issue here, it’s the origin and the motives that matter, if we can’t discern the origin of these kinds of gifts we may fall into deception that will claim our life and destabilise our ministry.
Had apostle Paul consented to it, his ministry would have been built on divination and sorcery.
If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?
The only solution to this is to go back to the source and repair the foundation, whoever want to stay should stay, and whoever wants to leave should leave, the presence of God is more than tens of thousands of members.
The silence of a contrary spirit might make you lose your members or put you in prison just like Paul and Silas, but the presence of God will be there to set you free.
If you hate the truth no matter how gifted you are one of the enemies of the truth. How will you gain total freedom when the truth has become your enemy?
The Bible says, for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believe in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
The best gifts of God to man is the Son, and the best gift we can reciprocate to him is our souls, that he will keep to Himself to the end of ages.
No one speaks by the spirit and calls Jesus accursed, when you’re under the control of God’s spirit you will inturn obey all his commandments.
