2 Cor 2:11 ( Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices)
There are weapons that Satan is using to keep Christians in bondage, without them, he wouldn’t have so much impact on affecting people’s lives.
One of these weapons is ignorance, if you don’t know the truth how will you free yourself from the captivity of the evil one?
The Bible says, ” My people go into captivity because they lacked knowledge, it’s a sure way to trap humans, if you don’t know the tricks and devices of your enemies how do you avoid their temptation?
Unfortunately, it’s revealed in the Bible but when they don’t want to take cognisance of it, they believe in Satan more than God, that is what makes them fear him more than God.
Had we known that God had given us authority over Satan and his minions in Jesus name, we would have known how to trample over him under our feet.
Had humanity known that we are greater than Satan in rank before the fall and after our redemption, we wouldn’t be afraid of the rulers of darkness and pay obeisance to them instead of submitting under the authority of the word.
A man saw a beautiful lady and complimented her, saying, ‘Can you give me your urine?’ The woman laughed, then said, ‘How much will you give me?’ The man called out thousands of naira, and the woman agreed to sell her urine for that amount.
Had she known the consequences of what the man was about to do with her urine she wouldn’t have fallen into the hands of her enemy, who wanted to use her life for demonic exchange.
Had humanity known the consequences of every sin committed against God, they would have run to Calvary for cleansing and hated all things that subtract from their destiny.
That is how people enter into captivity and end up blaming their household wickedness, they will start going about for solutions, when some of them will even enter the shrine of the devil to obtain freedom and end up strengthening their bondage.
A woman followed her friend to a witch doctor, then the man told her that woman you have virtue, will you please give me out of it, then the woman consented to stealing her virtue through ignorance.
Since that day, her life turned upside down, those kinds of people are the legal captives that the Bible referred to.
Most people have lost their virtue in life because of the ignorance of the implications of what they are about to do or deliberately do not want to follow the direction laid out in the word of God.
They don’t know that whatever they plant in their life today will have a great impact on their future.
Those who seek the fruit of the womb from any angle, including the shrine of their enemy don’t know the repercussions, they will end up sowing seed for the devil that may eventually end their lives in return.
They end up postponing the sorrow of today to tomorrow, thinking they have removed it.
No wonder you will see some children using their parents for rituals, if you ask their parents how they got them, they will tell you a strange story about their origin.
Had we known the potency of God’s power and the essence of Jesus sacrifice we wouldn’t have allowed Satan to box us into a corner to torment us.
Most Christians are afraid of Satan more than God because of their ignorance of what Christ did on their behalf and on behalf of all humanity, which is why they entered into the depths of Satan to know more about him and put themselves in greater bondage.
The Bible says, ” Do not be ignorant of the device of your enemy, for it is stated in the Bible all his antics we don’t need any information from the people in darkness to fight against him, how will Satan reveal what will end his kingdom to you if you consult him?
Application of knowledge is wisdom, whatever you know and don’t apply won’t help you, that is what many of us do, we know but are afraid to apply it to the area of our life that requires it and allow Satan to afflict us, and if we refuse to repent on time, he will later claim our very souls because of our ignorance.
We are ignorant of the hatred God had for sin, which is why we play with it and still want to appear in his presence, had we known that no sinner will see the glory of God, we wouldn’t turn sins into toys and still want to enter his presence.
The only thing that can destroy the power of ignorance is to know the truth revealed in His Word, and by reading and meditating on God’s Word.
If we know that whoever despises God’s word despised God himself and he will be greatly despised by God, if we know that he never plays with his word, we wouldn’t have taken it with levity as if it doesn’t concern us..
Satan closed Christians eyes from the truth and introduce the spirit of it doesn’t matter to them, by the preachers he nurtured to feed them with junk from his table: “it doesn’t matter if I bleach my skin”, God only look at the heart, “it doesn’t matter as long as I attend all service, I can bribe my way to heaven with my work”, all these is what men do without following the truth and mess up their whole service on earth and end up worshipping in vain.
God includes the truth in our way of worship, for without it nothing makes sense, when you worship him without the truth, you worship in error..to be continued
